Jumping aboard the A380 once again,we found ourselves sitting very close to where we were sitting going to Europe in 2012. First incident Tanya couldn't pop the toothpaste. Not long after a mid-air captain obvious was noted; "did you turn the cap over and try and pierce the lid?" OMG we aren't that dumb! It was funny and we had a laugh.
The first flight to LA albeit very boring, was good for a movie catch up. Richard watched The Wrestler, Conviction and Argo. Tan watched Identity Thief, Safe Haven (romantic drama with Josh Dumhal) and Silver Lining Playbook......a fair contrast overall, which is why it is always hard at home to find movies to watch together!
Star spotting once again, not Jennifer Anisten this time like back in 2010 at LAX, but Eddie McGuire. He looked red in the face, as his son seemed to be sick. It was actually quite weird seeing him in person. Not as fat as we expected.
Second flight was almost 4:30 hours from LAX to Miami International. We were stuck on the tarmac for a while, because there was another plane blocking our gate, so we sat for ages and started to get a little nervous about missing our connecting flight to Cancun, Mexico. All worked out well, BUT unfortunately after charging to the plane with minuscule time to spare, meant that our bags did not make it! Wearing the same clothes for that long just isn't cool.
Thankfully our day improved rapidly once we'd rocked up to our hotel and had an upgrade to a suite! Right next to the ocean, our own outside 4 person jacuzzi and sun beds, right next to the action. Who needs to run out early to reserve a spot? Not us!!!! Woot! This whole honeymoon thing makes you think about planning a vowel renewal biannually!
Loving the fact that the drinks are included too. Mojitoes and margaritas all included. Love that. Hopefully the luggage turns up at a reasonable hour. Need the stuff that's in those bags. Oh well makes for an interesting time. Always laugh off these situations and it doesn't seem to hurt as much.
Quite jetlagged, already up way too late writing the blog. The complimentary chocolate covered strawberries and bubbles on arrival have really lifted the spirits. Pity the wifi isn't strong. As the waves roll in across the gentle breeze, it is time to say good night and we look forward to keeping all you readers informed of our travels over the next three weeks.
!Hola¡
PS I broke a nail. Damn only the second time I've had nice nails and I've already broken one. This is Tanya, not Richard reporting on the nail situation. Lol
